Find out what the CRITICS are saying about Author Ashley Barnard ...*Giveaway*

REVIEWS

SHADOW FOX:
Darkiss Reads (5 Stars): "...Ashley Barnard has done a fantastic job in detailing her new world and her writing style is excellent. For a first novel it is a masterpiece and I believe that Ashley will become a name that is mentioned in the same breath as many of the greats in the Paranormal Romance genre. This is a first book in a trilogy and if the next two novels are halfway as decent as this one then this series will become a classic in its own time."

Dark Divas (4 1/2 Delightful Divas): "...So if you are into sagas where there is a world of development and action; if you enjoy tortured heroes; if you love getting lost in a story, to the point that re-entering your life is a bit of a challenge...then you will want to get to know Jared and the people that are in, and out, of his life. And finding a new-to-me author that knows how to weave a web of magic, well that’s definitely icing on the cake!"

Escape Between the Pages (4 Stars): "...The action sequences were well done. The plot was not only intriguing, but suspenseful. I couldn't help but wonder, what would happen next. Lastly, the characters are well defined and very compelling...Now, I am going to have to wait anxiously for the next installment, Fox Rising to come out. *sighs* But, I suspect it will be worth it as Shadow Fox was a great beginning to what looks to be a great trilogy."

Love Romances & More (3 1/2 Hearts): "...The author does a nice job in creating intriguing characters in a storyline that gently pulls you in and then doesn’t let you go until the last page is read. I highly enjoyed SHADOW
FOX and have added this author to my permanent reading list. If you are looking for a story that has a messed up hero, a mystery to figure out and more, then this is definitely the book for you."

FOX RISING:
Darkiss Reads (4 1/2 Stars): "...It took less than 24 hours to read this book...The story carried me forward at breakneck speed and I found myself fully immersed within the story...I am a definite fan of Ashley Barnard’s writing and look forward to all her future projects. If you have not started the Shadow Fox series then it is really is something you need to do. Few authors have captured my reading soul so completely. She is a future Queen of Fantasy/Paranormal Romance."

Dark Divas (5 Divas and Recommended Read): "This second story in Ashley Barnard’s series is stunning in not only its complexity but in how utterly enthralled I found myself...Ashley Barnard has given me enough positive to hang onto and enough suspense and tension to drive me crazy… but I’m still very satisfied. And if an author can do that, at the end of the second book in a trilogy? Well, hats off to you… and you have definitely earned a fan for life.

IN BYRON’S SHADOW:
Publishers Weekly (via Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest 2008): “Reminiscent of the works of Jane Austen or the Bronte sisters, this novel is an absorbing historical romance set in mid-19th century England. Nicholas Price, an aspiring poet and artist, is an acolyte of Lord Byron's who loses his subsantial inheritance when he attempts to elope with Byron's scientifically -inclined daughter, Ada.Ten years after those events, Nicholas finds himself living in a crumbling family property, Blackbridge Hall, with no income other than the paltry sum he's able to eke out from investments underwritten by his friend, Lord Radcliffe. Then a young woman named Catherine O'Reilly, herself banished from the aristocracy as a result of an out of wedlock pregnancy, appears on his doorstep offering her services as a maid. Their relationship blossoms as does one between Catherine and Nicholas's brother, James, while the attempt of Nicholas's father to restore his severed ties with his son is painted with tenderness and compassion. There's lust, a duel and a redemptive conclusion that brings the story to a satisfying end. What makes this effort doubly impressive is the way in which the author thoroughly inhabits the novel's world. This is a highly - polished and mature work."
