"From the very beginning, where the hero's pain of losing his love is made clear, you are dragged through the story with a desperate need to finish its last page. The love is not only touching, but enthralling. This is an amazing second book for Renee and she does what few authors have the ability to do. She captures the time period, and mixes the dialect with proper English really well to create the whole story.


You feel the hero's desperation with every flowing word and his dreams feel as real as if it were happening to you. It takes a great deal of skill to achieve this, and a talent when it comes to writing this genre. I haven't been taken in by a Historical type book in a very long time, and Renee has restored my faith in the genre.
