"Getting to know" Author Renee Vincent...

Renee Vincent's lifelong fascination with the legends and lore of ancient Ireland, and the powerful, compelling Scandinavian explorers and conquerors known as the Vikings, led her to create the thrilling historical romance series, "The Emerald Isle Trilogy."

Book one in the series, Ræliksen, introduces us to Mara, daughter of an Irish clansmen who is loved by both Dægan Ræliksen, a Norse warrior, and by Breandán Mac Liam, an Irish hunter. Ræliksen, a triumphantly successful debut for Renee Vincent, has earned numerous accolades: Winner of two categories by LoveRomanceCafe--"Best Book Cover 2010" and "Best Historical 2010"; a 5 Star TOP PICK from Night Owl Reviews; and #1 Choice for Marissa's Top 5 Books of 2010 at Sizzling Hot Reviews.

The second book in the series, Mac Liam, begins seven years after Ræliksen ends, and it allows us entry into the heart and mind of the soulful Irishman. Highly anticipated and critically well-received, Mac Liam has earned a 5 Star TOP PICK rating from Night Owl Reviews, the “5 Heart Sweetheart Award” from The Romance Studio, and the coveted reader-voted "Book of the Week" award from Long and Short Reviews.

The eagerly awaited conclusion to the "Emerald Isle Trilogy" will be found in The Fall of Rain, which will be released in December, 2011. Renee recently created a stir among her devoted readers by announcing the upcoming release of The Temperate Warrior in December 2012.

“This book and author earn my highest recommendations and I feel privileged to have read one of the best.”
~ 5 Star TOP PICK! Night Owl Reviews

“This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys historical romance and I cannot wait to read the final book of the trilogy as this story has stayed with me days after I read the last word.”
~ 5 Hearts! The Romance Studio

Though reading and writing historical romances is Renee’s first love, she has also branched out into the contemporary genre with her latest release called Silent Partner, which features a sexy and wealthy nightclub owner in search of the perfect dance partner. When Grayson Anders finds talented artist Chloe LaRoche, he feels he has met the woman of his dreams. However, Chloe has a secret which could keep them apart forever unless she and Grayson forge their love of music, dance, and art into a love to last a lifetime. Silent Partner, just released in April, 2011, has already earned two awards from All Romance eBooks: "Best Selling Drama eBook" and "Highest Rated Drama eBook".

Renee, I am so pleased to know your books and love what you are doing this month in the contest line. I love anything Irish and one of those people who wished to be Irish but aren't. That doesn't mean I can't enjoy everything about it and that's why your books means so much to me. susan Leech

Renee, sister mine. I love hearing about you. Even though I read your bio before.

When you called me the other night, you were like a balm for my soul. It was wonderful getting to hear your voice and so funny to NOT really hear an accent until you turn it on. LOL

I hope someday, I can come to Kentucky to meet you in personal.

But until then, since you can't make RWA conference, do you think you might be able to do the RWA Chicago spring fling in April 2012??

Love ya babe, MUWAH!

Ummm, THE TEMPORATE WARRIOR? Are you teasing us? How long will we have to wait?

Hope you will come to the Srping Fling next April.... bring some Ale 8 when you come.

The tour is going very well! Good job!

Renee, is The Temperate Warrior a continuation of your Emerald Isle series or the start of a new series and will you share what it's about? Can't wait.

A.W. McQueen said... did I miss the part of the TEMPERATE WARRIOR???

AAAAIIIIEEEE this is what I get for trying to do this at work!

What is this book? I want it!

Renee Vincent said...

hahah you all are too cute.

Ok The Temperate Warrior is sort of a continuation of the Emerald Isle Trilogy. There is a character in Mac Liam (Daegan's older brother, Gustaf) that deserves his own story. And so The Temperate Warrior has made its way into my writing plans. It is a separate story of Gustaf and Æsa, but it takes place soon after his departure from Inis Mor in Mac Liam.

And Sarah...which one is at Chicago next year? RT or RWA? Which ever one is in Chicago, I'm planning on attending. My big goal for that is to meet Jimmy Thomas. haha Am I bad? hahah

I love reading everything Scotish and Celtic and Gaelic, and Ireland. Part of the reason is my mother let her sister my aunt name me. And it wasn't until I was teenager that I ever met anyone else with the name. Of course, being me it was a guy with the name. And of course it was to discover that we both had the same spelling which I find out is the male spelling....*S*
Oh, well the things we learn. I hated the name but soon learned to love it is a bit unique...*S*
Thanks you Renee, for I now have your trilogy to look forward to as well. it just tickles me!
Thank for the contest too, and I wish you all the best with this release...*S*

Your a dear one to my heart. I'm like Lizzie, I've read your bio. But each time I read something about you I find out something knew.

Thank you for all the advice you give me in regards to Brion my son. I think he's starting to go with the ideal that he's got a

Irish and Celtic stories rock:) I've always been fascinated with Celtic lore. My grandfather was an Irish merchant seaman, who lied about his age to work on a ship. I love reading about all time periods related to Ireland!

Renee Vincent said...

Darcy, you are one loyal fan! Thank you so much!

Teresa, one day I do hope to meet you. You are one amazing woman and so very kind. I wish you and your son the best.

Carol, if I get the opportunity to be that close to Jimmy Thomas, the last thing I will be thinking about grabbing is his hair. haha But I'll try. haha

Oh how interesting this is, Brenda! My grandfather was an Irish merchant seaman, who lied about his age to work on a ship. I love reading about all time periods related to Ireland! Thank you for sharing that. It sounds like that could be a romance story in itself! So cool!
